Sabine Schnarkowski Corporate Communications
EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht

Oestrich/Winkel/Wiesbaden, 20 March 2019 - As in the previous year, EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht MBA programme was in the top group of the CEO Magazine's Global MBA Ranking. In the magazine's Global Executive MBA Ranking published at the same time, the Durham EBS Executive MBA also reached the top group. Of the 91 study programmes examined, the EMBA programme ranked 18th worldwide.

Since its foundation in 2008, CEO Magazine has been presenting top business schools from all over the world. In 2012, the publication launched its annual Global MBA Ranking, which profiles MBA, Executive MBA and Online MBA programmes. This year, CEO Magazine surveyed business schools in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the BRICS countries and collected data from 144 universities with 292 different programmes in 25 countries.

With these two rankings, the international "CEO Magazine" seeks to offer potential students a differentiated analysis of the MBA and EMBA programmes. The ranking criteria include: the quality of the faculty, the international diversity among students and lecturers, the number of participants, accreditations and the relationship between lecturers and students. In addition, the amount of tuition fees, the internationality of the programmes, the professional experience of the participants, the opportunities for development in study, gender parity and the study course alternatives are examined. Both the MBA programme and the Durham EBS Executive MBA convinced the jury by fulfilling these criteria, thus attaining a top ranking.

With the MBA programme honoured by CEO Magazine, EBS Universität offers interested students two study pathways: a 16-month full-time MBA programme and a 20-month MBA plus programme. The special feature of the MBA plus programme is a specialisation in the third semester. Students can focus on one of the three modules Finance, Real Estate Management or Automotive Management. Alternatively, the third semester can also be spent at one of the more than 230 partner universities abroad. Pivotal components of the curriculum of both programmes are leadership skills and personality development.

Students of the 18-month and English-speaking Durham & EBS Executive MBA have the opportunity to choose three optional modules that suit their personal career aspirations and goals. The focus areas include Business Analytics, International Finance, Leading Change, Negotiation, Project Management, Technology and Innovation and International Business in Context.
