TU Berlin is participating in this international climate action week and will be reporting on current research projects into climate protection and sustainability. TU Berlin researchers will also be available for interviews.
From 15 to 23 September 2019, TU Berlin’s communication activities will also be focusing on climate protection and sustainability. During this period, the University will be taking a close look at what is happening in its labs and reporting throughout the week on current research projects into CO2 management, the phasing-out of coal, wind energy, and the innovative utilization of waste.
The Covering Climate Now action week was co-founded by the Columbia Journalism Review, the journal of Columbia University’s School of Journalism, and the US weekly The Nation. Over 250 media outlets worldwide as well as research institutions have responded to this initiative and will be focusing the attention of their reporting on climate change in the lead-up to the United Nations’ Climate Action Summit to be held in New York on 23 September.
In addition to TU Berlin, participating research universities include Princeton University (USA), Boston University (USA), and the University of Manchester (United Kingdom).
