Excellent Human Medicine in Hamburg: Jung Symposium 2022 Presents Outstanding Research Results Once Again

Valeria Hermanns Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit
Jung-Stiftung für Wissenschaft und Forschung

After the successful start last year, the Jung Foundation for Science and Research is again offering interested participants the opportunity to get to know the outstanding research results of four renowned scientists digitally in 2022. On 13 May 2022, the second Jung Symposium will take place, at which this year's winners of the Jung Foundation will present their research via livestream and answer questions from the audience. With this contemporary format, the award-winning scientists provide an insight into the wide world of medicine: With presentations on viral diseases such as SARS-CoV-2, secondary diseases of diabetes, cancer-related metastasis and congenital immunodeficiencies.

Being up close to the reality of patients' lives: That is the claim of the Jung Foundation for Science and Research. For this reason, with its annual medical awards worth more than half a million euros, it primarily honours physicians whose research results build a bridge from research to the bedside – or who can be expected to do so in the future. With the new format of the Jung Symposium introduced last year, there is now a digital event that allows an unlimited number of scientists from all over the world to experience lectures by the current award winners on their award-winning research results.

Registered participants can follow the presentations given by the award winners on the livestream from 10 a.m. on 13 May 2022. In addition, questions can be asked in the chat, which will be answered directly after each lecture.
