    Improvement of global health and scientific solutions to health challenges in focus

    The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2022 in Rome, Italy (June 15-17) will bring together stakeholders from every relevant field of healthcare to debate the improvement of global health and the development of scientific solutions to health challenges.

    The organizer Sapienza University of Rome will host more than 100 speakers and more than 20 sessions in 2.5 days.

    Presidents of the Regional Meeting 2022 are Prof. Eugenio Gaudio, President of the Roma Sapienza Foundation, and Prof. Luciano Saso, Vice-Rector for European University Networks at Sapienza.

    Background:
    The World Health Summit Regional Meeting takes place every year in different parts of the world in addition to the annual World Health Summit in Berlin and brings regional topics to the forefront. Each Regional Meeting is hosted by the M8 Alliance member holding the World Health Summit International Presidency, which rotates every year.

    The M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies is the academic foundation of the World Health Summit. It is a growing network and currently consists of 30 members in 20 countries, including the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), which represents the national academies of medicine and science in 130 countries.

    Sapienza University has been an M8 Alliance member since 2015 and is one of the oldest universities in the world.
