Thursday, 10th of June 2004, in the Scandic Sanadome, Nijmegen, Netherlands, the openXchange consortium presents significant project results showing how to combine the strengths of electronic purchasing with standardisation.
The consortium of EU-project openXchange, consting within others of Fraunhofer IAO, Germany, ECP.NL and NEVI, Netherlands, Mellon, Greece, has set up the seminar "Electronic Procurement beyond borders". The seminar will take place from 12h30 - 17h00 (including lunch) on Thursday, 10th of June 2004, in the Scandic Sanadome, Nijmegen (The Netherlands).
OpenXchange combines the strengths of electronic purchasing with standardisation. Many businesses recognise the need for implementation of these aspects, but often simply don't know where or when to start. This openXchange Seminar will show the results of the three pilot implementations in the following business areas:
Technical Materials: The technical implementation concerns an ERP system in charge on customer side, which especially supports the needs for an electrical company and the typical structured procedures comprised.
Temporary Staffing: In this pilot electronic messages are being exchanged between job agency Manpower and Dutch utility supplier (energy) NUON, based on available open standards (HR-XML, ebXML). By using the standard ebXML technology the messages can be distributed safely via the internet. This pilot focuses on the exchange of messages concerning time-registration and invoicing and will become the future standard for many job agencies and hiring companies.
Building & Construction: TNO, Atos KPMG Consulting and NEVI have defined a project to stimulate the application of the standard procedures in the Building and Construction Business. In the final report a consistent and practically applicable and implemental set of procedures are written in order of electronic offering, ordering, delivery and payment of products on demand.
This seminar will be in English and will especially be interesting for managers working in the purchasing field, Information and Communication Technology field and general higher management. It has an admission fee of Euro 45,- for openXchange NoE/NEVI/ECP members, Euro 75,- for non-members.
