Improvement of global health and scientific solutions to health challenges in focus
The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2023 in Washington DC, USA on April 13 will bring together stakeholders from all relevant sectors of global health to discuss pressing issues under the theme of ‘Bridging the Science to Policy Gap for Global Health’.
The organizers of the Regional Meeting are the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) and Association of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI). They will host more than 50 speakers and ten sessions in Washington DC and online. Digital participation is possible upon prior registration free of charge.

President of the Regional Meeting 2023 is Prof. Dr. Adnan Hyder, Senior Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Global Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health of George Washington University: “The Regional Meeting is going to have a very exciting set of sessions. We will look at this theory between moving research and evidence into policy and action so that real people actually get health on the ground. We will explore this nexus in many different areas of critical public health.”

The World Health Summit Regional Meeting takes place every year in different parts of the world in addition to the annual World Health Summit in Berlin and brings regional topics to the forefront. Each Regional Meeting is hosted by the M8 Alliance member holding the World Health Summit International Presidency, which rotates every year.
