Berlin International University of Applied Sciences proudly celebrated its 10th anniversary on Tuesday, July 9th, with a grand event held at the university campus. The celebration highlighted the university’s growth and achievements over the past decade, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and distinguished guests.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from the moderator, Joeley Beckett. Following the introduction, President Yüksel Pöğün-Zander, Ph.D., delivered an inspiring speech reflecting on the university’s journey and future aspirations.
Amara Goodwin, a proud BI graduate who began her studies in 2014 and is now the Head of the Program for the Master of Interior Architecture/Interior Design and Master of Interior Design programs, took the stage to share insights into the innovative programs and the impact of the university’s academic offerings on students' careers.
Enver Yücel, President of BAU Global, provided a broader perspective on the institution’s place within the global educational landscape, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration and the university’s role in fostering global citizenship.
The highlight of the evening was the address by the Guest of Honor, Ahmet Başar Şen, the Turkish Ambassador to Germany, who acknowledged the university’s contributions to educational excellence and cultural exchange between Turkey and Germany.
The event concluded with a reception, where attendees networked and celebrated the milestone with refreshments.

Berlin International University of Applied Sciences (BI) is a state-recognized private university in the heart of Berlin. BI stands for international and intercultural exchange and follows an interdisciplinary approach.
Berlin International offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in two departments: Architecture & Design and Business Administration. The degree programs are state-accredited and the language of instruction is English. The BI courses have a high practical relevance and are strongly oriented towards the respective industries and global job markets. The study programs are characterized by a clear structure, small learning groups per program and intensive contact with lecturers and professors.
