Berlin, 18 August 2026. The Falling Walls Science Summit 2026 will feature Canada as its partner country for 2026, highlighting the country’s leadership in science, research, innovation and technology. A high-level delegation, to be led by senior Canadian officials, will participate at this year’s Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin. The delegation will include university presidents, leaders of research funding agencies and other senior
representatives from Canada’s science, research and innovation ecosystem.
2026 marks two jubilees of Canadian-German relations: 75 years of official diplomatic relations between the two countries and 55 years of the Agreement on Cooperation in Science and Technology. Canada’s association in 2024 to the European Commission’s Horizon Europe program has provided a strong foundation for research partnerships
between Canadian and German partners, giving further motivation for a large Canadian presence in Berlin.
