To the members of the editorial team
Prof. Hasso Plattner, co-founder of SAP and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, will be presenting the German Start-up of the Year at the Second Annual Forum on Entrepreneurship in Potsdam's Hasso Plattner Institute on Wednesday, 21 June. The forum has been organised by Plattner's €50 million venture capital fund Hasso Plattner Ventures (HPV). Plattner is keen to make an important material - and financial - contribution to an innovative and competitive Germany demonstrating a new entrepreneurial spirit. In Plattner's own words: "There is no lack of ideas in the country, but we need new ways to transform them into successful businesses and sustainable economic growth".
At the Second Annual Forum on Entrepreneurship, Hasso Plattner Ventures will be introducing the first young businessmen to set up in the Hasso Plattner High Tech Park next to the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI). Here they receive sustained support and advice from HPV in the transition from innovation to market maturity of the product or service.
