CALL FOR PAPERS
2nd European Conference on eHealth (ECEH'07)
in Oldenburg, Germany, October 11 - 12, 2007
http://www.EUNetHealth.org
eHealth is the use of information and communication technologies for
closing the gap between the patient and healthcare at a local site or at
a distance. The associated shift from a treatment-centred to a patient-
centred view to medical procedures implies new approaches in handling and
distributing the patient's medical data, filtering and aggregating the
data relevant for treatment and diagnosis, delivering and controlling the
quality of medical services, and developing business models under the
constraints of social trends as the aging population and increasing costs
of the healthcare system. Advanced decision support, data mining, new
communication channels as well as standardization, interoperability of
applications and trustability are key components for the successful
implementation of eHealth technologies.
This conference aims to promote research and scientific exchange related
to eHealth and to bring together practitioners, scientists, and
researchers, as well as those interested in learning more about eHealth.
