Become the world champion in negotiation! The Negotiation Challenge 2010 (TNC) from March 11 - 14, 2010, in Leipzig / Germany

MBA Volker Stößel Marketing und Public Relations
Handelshochschule Leipzig

Call for student teams / Application deadline 22 January 2010 / Students of HHL - Leipzig Graduate School of Management invite students to the world negotiation championship from 11 to 14 March 2010

From team negotiations over splitting tasks in projects to vacation planning - negotiations are omnipresent. But do we leave the negotiating table always satisfied? Many companies today consider negotiation skills in their search criteria for job candidates. Students of HHL - Graduate School of Management recognize this trend. From 11 to 14 March 2010 HHL will conduct The Negotiation Challenge 2010 (TNC). It is an international competition held in Leipzig, Germany that brings together twelve teams from top MBA programs and law schools from across the world to compete against each other in a three day negotiation competition. Previous year competitors include teams from premier schools like Harvard Law School from the USA and of the National Law School of India.

International teams negotiate at outstanding locations in Leipzig

This English language held competition runs over three days and several rounds. Each team consists of three participants and optionally one coach. The winning team of each round progresses to the next level in the competition. The winner of the final round is pronounced the winner of the competition and is proclaimed the world champions in negotiation.

Leipzig, an historical city famous for the commercial role it has played in central Europe since the Middle Ages is a perfect location for this annual event. It offers a traditional and exciting setting that helps the TNC come alive for the participants. For 2010 exciting venues for the competition include the Leipzig Opera House, the German Federal Administrative Court (the highest administrative court in Germany!), and the dungeon of an old castle. We are very excited says Michael Römer, a co-organizer of the TNC and MSc student at HHL.

    Application deadline 22 January 2010
