    Individuals and teams are invited to submit their best ideas and concepts at http://www.hhl.de/investorsday by May 27, 2015, and to qualify for the Bester Founders Award by HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. The six best teams will have the opportunity to present their ideas to high-caliber judges on the 2nd International Investors Day on June 17, 2015 and to win a recommendation to be accepted into the SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator, a founders' platform, on top of the prize money. The HHL Best Founders award includes a monetary award of EUR 2,000, the KARL KOLLE Prize for the best technical idea comes with EUR 1,500 in prize money.

    The founders' competition will take place within the framework of the 2nd HHL International Investors Day on June 17, 2015. The event held at HHL is unique in Germany due to its interconnection of start-ups and established companies. The event focuses on innovative business models and their successful implementation while enabling close cooperation between potential founders, start-ups, business angels, venture capitalists and potential investors from the respective industry.

    2nd International Investors Day examines digital transformation in the financial and mobility sectors

    The 2nd International Investors Day will examine the topic of how digital business models are changing the financial and mobility sectors. Speakers from Europe and Silicon Valley will lead discussions at HHL about new opportunities arising in the areas of connected mobility and FinTec with established enterprises such as Bosch, Deutsche Bank and the Otto Group as well as start-ups including allryder, Hitfox and PAYMILL and provide valuable advise to founding teams.
    Burkhard Jung, Mayor of Leipzig, will open the HHL International Investors Day. The event will kick off the night before with a barbecue on the premises of the Leipzig Spinnerei, an old cotton mill, and a visit to the SpinLab – The HHL Accelerator, which is located there. HHL Dean Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, who is expecting interesting teams, speakers and guests from all over Europe and Silicon Valley, says, "We are looking forward to proving once again: Berlin is great - Leipzig is better!"

    The 2nd HHL International Investors Day on June 17, 2015 will be organized by HHL's Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart) in cooperation with the Schumpeter Junior Professorship in Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer (Jun.-Prof. Dr. Vivek Velamuri), which is funded by the Leipzig Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, as well as the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Chair for Strategic Management and Family Business (Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner). HHL receives additional support from the Self-Management Initiative Leipzig (SMILE). Numerous well-known sponsors, such as Blue Corporate Finance AG, CMS Hasche Sigle, Deutsche Bank AG, Heinz Dürr, KPMG, the Leipzig Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen mbH, taskforce - Management on Demand AG, Porsche Leipzig GmbH as well as the Association of Friends of HHL, support the event.

    HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management as a hotbed for entrepreneurs

    With over 165 start-ups established by HHL alumni over the past 17 years, Germany's top address for young managers has also developed into an incubator for company creation. The founders' entrepreneurial commitment has created more than 2,800 jobs already, over 1,250 of which are located in the Leipzig region alone. In 2013 and 2014, HHL reached one of three first places for the best entrepreneurial universities in Germany in the Start-Up Radar ranking published by Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Founders' Association of German Science) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BWMi).
