How will digitalization change tomorrow’s work and management? A panel of experts will be discussing this question at the KörberForum on October 12. Starting at 7 p.m., the trend researcher Birgit Gebhardt will discuss with experts the challenges that lie ahead for business leaders. On the platform with her will be Verena Fritzsche, CEO of the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management, Dr. Christian Growitsch, University of Hamburg, and Michael Montjoie, Head of Corporate HR at Nordex. The Körber Foundation is organizing the event in cooperation with NIT.
The rapid pace of digitalization is ushering in a social transformation. Swift access to information that is shared in networks characterizes the thought processes of Generation Y. The so-called digital natives are thronging into the labor market and calling hierarchic structures and information flows into question. In the course of globalization international teams are collaborating at many companies and communicating on virtual platforms. Do employees working autonomously still need bosses, and if so, which?
