The EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht again emerges very positively from the latest U-Multirank comparison of institutes of higher education. Of a total of 365 business and economics faculties assessed in the survey, Germany's oldest private business school is placed in the top group. The EBS scores particularly well in the categories Research Strength, Teaching Quality and International Focus. U-Multirank, one of the world's largest ranking systems for institutes of higher education, is an initiative of the EU Commission and is supported in part by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE).
U-Multirank assesses colleges, universities and business schools from all parts of the world on the basis of five criteria and enables prospective students to obtain a clear overview of the profile and offerings of these higher education establishments. In the German comparison, business studies/economics at the EBS received the second largest number of "A" placings. In the Teaching category, the EBS obtained impressive results for the indicators "Quality of Courses", "Organization of the Program", and "Contact with Teaching Staff", thereby underscoring its strong service orientation and the individual care and supervision of students. As University President Professor Dr. Markus Ogorek points out: "The good grades in this category make us particularly proud. They demonstrate that our students are highly satisfied with the level of teaching at the EBS."
And in the field of research the EBS achieved above-average results. In this case the assessment focused on the Faculty's research publications, the citation rates, and the relevance of the research in terms of teaching and practice. U-Multirank also awarded the EBS top marks for the business school's international character: the systematically English-language bachelor and master programs, the mobility of students in the form of time spent abroad, double degrees, the considerable international diversity of students and professors – these are all major factors in the internationalization strategy pursued by the EBS. Intercultural relations are a feature of the Campus: at present the proportion of international students at the EBS Business School is around 33 percent across all programs and some 44 percent in the Master sector.
