Participants receive training for the diverse challenges of a leadership position in everyday practice. The master’s programme involves continuing education and cross-sectoral studies. Those interested can register between now and March 2021!

Graduating in five semesters: Starting in April 2021, professionals can enrol in the new master’s programme “MBA Responsibility, Leadership and Communication” at the University of Bayreuth. If you aim to enter a career as a successful manager on the basis of well-founded training, or expand your own knowledge in the areas of leadership, responsibility, and communication, this degree programme offers the right tools.

The degree programme is primarily aimed at future managers or those already in positions of responsibility in the private sector, politics, or medicine. “In this degree programme, a well-founded syllabus is combined with teaching of the so-called soft skills. In addition, targeted training and the invitation to participants to actively reflect on their previous personal development contribute to the learning process”, explains Prof. Dr. mult. Eckhard Nagel. The researcher is chief course coordinator and managing director of the Institute for Healthcare Management and Health Sciences at the University of Bayreuth.

Teaching value-oriented leadership and management skills

The MBA “Responsibility Leadership and Communication” teaches value-oriented leadership and management skills and supports students in developing an individual leadership style based on ethical and economic knowledge. In addition to business basics, the study content also includes the areas of self-guidance and personal responsibility, as well as communication. The aim is to prepare participants across all sectors for the diverse challenges of a leadership position in everyday practice. In this context, both the imperative of efficiency in the context of corporate management and reflected humanity in the area of employee management are of essential importance. “This degree programme is an opportunity to appropriately correct the academically shaped economic mindset, and replace it with a range of value standards”, says Nagel about the objective and concept of the course. The Campus Academy of the University of Bayreuth together with GWS-Gesundheit, Wissenschaft, Strategie GmbH are responsible for the study programme.

    Modes of participation and registration

All persons who have already completed their studies to the extent of 210 ECTS credits and have proof of at least two years of professional experience after completing their university studies are eligible for enrolment. Upon full participation and successful completion of the examinations, participants receive the degree “Master of Business Administration (MBA) Responsibility, Leadership and Communication”.
