Alternative energy concepts with micro and nanotechnology have a great future - this is the unanimous opinion of those experts presenting high-tech innovations for the production of energy from April 16 to 20 at Microtechnology/Hannover Messe. At the Product Market "Micro, Nano & Materials", 58 exhibitors will show their established and new products and developments on 700 square meters. The joint pavilion in hall 15/booth D34 is organized by IVAM Microtechnology Network.
"Because of the current energy situation the customers' requests have strongly increased. We see good growth opportunities for solar technology", Dr. Hans-Joachim Freitag, Managing Director of CiS Institut für Mikrosensorik GmbH is happy to say. The business unit SolarCentre Erfurt of CiS will among other things present new assembly and packaging technologies for solar cells and modules at the joint pavilion.
Furthermore, the center will introduce its research and development services like method development for wafer and cell characterization, durability test and process engineering. Focus of the work is the development of mono- and multi-chrystalline silicon solar cells, with industrial feasibility as ultimate ambition.
How wafer and solar cell manufacturing can be optimized will also be shown by Rena Sondermaschinen GmbH, a specialist for wet-chemical process solutions. Experts from the Fraunhofer-Institute for Manufacturing and Advanced Materials IFAM will be ready to answer questions about heat management and fuel cells.
