For the very first time in the history of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University the Heilbronn location has won a bid on an Erasmus+ strategic partnership project. Their project proposal “BEEHiVES- Boosting European Exchange on Higher VET and Employer Involvement in Education Structures” has convinced the reviewers of the DAAD agency.
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, youth and sports. It combines the former EU programmes for lifelong learning, youth and sports and the cooperation programs of the universities. The ERASMUS+ program is provided with a 14.8 billion Euro budget. Its main objective is to bring forward the international and European cooperation in the field of education and to help modernizing the educational system of the participating countries.
BEEHiVES examines and compares European educational models in the field of higher professional education who work increasingly practical. A group of experts in six European countries will analyse approaches and forms of Higher Vocational Education and Training in Europe in cooperation with the strategic triangle: national universities, the world of work and students. The objective is to define criteria and measures that promote more intensive cooperation within the strategic triangle (especially at EQF level 5 or higher) throughout Europe and anchor these sustainably.
